Public Poll: Tratok Token Swap Upgrade To Commence

The world of cryptocurrency is constantly evolving due to technological, security and community innovations. As such today we announce the upcoming Tratok token swap. • Unlocking Locked Accounts: One of the most significant advantages of the Tratok token swap is the ability for users with wrongly locked accounts to finally swap their tokens. This means that those who have been unable to engage in trading or upcoming travel can now fully participate in the vibrant Tratok ecosystem.

Although previously rescinded with contract ownership, these functions no longer will be present within our ecosystem. Furthermore, Management, Advisor, and Developer wallets are now fully locked for two years until June 24, 2026. This commitment can be publicly verified on the blockchain, showcasing our dedication to responsible management and accountability to our community. There is a reason why this is very important.

Through diligent efforts from Bitmart, who clearly value their users, it has brought to the Team’s attention that one member of Tratok has been acting in a nefarious way, taking advantage of the control mechanisms that were burned in the spirit of giving the public peace of mind. With knowledge that Tratok had provided liquidity to the exchange to power the pending pilot tests, he loaded the exchange with tokens and proceeded to sell at an extreme level. The culprit has tried to hide their activity via transfers to multiple wallets, but through a third party analyst these have been identified. Over the last 3 weeks, they were able to withdraw circa $40,000 USD from the exchange liquidity. Thankfully, we have confirmed that of this amount, in excess of $37,000 was from company reserves and will NOT impact operations or cause delays. We are happy to have caught this early, because as you can see from just a few of the wallets which we will expose below, they were gearing up to also target the public:

Tratok has a commitment to the public to protect all stakeholders and as such have taken appropriate action in cooperation with the exchange. We wish to be clear that not even one of our own is above this duty to the public and we have no problem being transparent about the occurrence. We believe covering it up would not only be unethical but also a betrayal of trust in the thousands of people who hold tokens and have accounts on the ecosystem.  It is with sincerity that we can inform you that the employee has been removed from duty and will be prosecuted for fraud.

Note Bitmart, as requested by Tratok, has temporarily suspended operations, as we feel this is in the public best interest until the swap is supported. However, should the public desire that trading commences before the swap we have included a poll below and will comply with the outcome. Please note though; Tratok will not be restoring the former price drop instigated by this bad actor nor providing liquidity until after the swap is completed. Therefore, this rogue former employee will likely target the public during this time.

• Visibility Specifiers: We’ve added external, view, and pure specifiers to our functions. This not only clarifies how functions can be accessed but also enhances efficiency, aligning with best practices in smart contract development.
• Updated Constructor Syntax: The constructor syntax has been revamped to the newer style, ensuring our contract adheres to modern conventions.
• Receive Function: A new `receive()` function has been added to handle Ether sent to the contract, reverting any direct payments. This crucial addition prevents mistaken token transfers, safeguarding users from potential errors.
• Gas Efficiency enhanced with Calldata: We’re using `calldata` for function parameters that are not modified, which is more gas-efficient. This means lower transaction costs for our users!
• Best Practices: The use of the `emit` keyword for emitting events is now standardized in our contracts, aligning with recommended practices in newer Solidity versions.
