Booking & Rewards
Slide to Pay, Tap to Send, Cancel Without Fear: How Transfers Happen on Tratok
Transfers and refunds of TRAT to another traveller, explained end to end. One wallet, one ledger, and not a single moment where you wonder what just happened to your tokens.
Transactions is where travel platforms are at their most theatrical. The price performs a little costume change between search and checkout. The refund enters a mysterious tunnel for months. The receipt arrives as an email you will never find again. Tratok looked at all of this theatre and made a radical decision: Transactions should be the most boring and most transparent part of any trip. You should always know exactly what you will pay, exactly what comes back, and exactly where every token went.
On Tratok, your transactions behave like a message: instant, visible, and only when you deliberately send it.
One wallet, two chains, one honest ledger
Everything begins in the Tratok wallet, built into your account. It holds your TRAT across both Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain, alongside the bonus TRAT you earn from bookings and rewards. And beneath the balance sits the part legacy platforms have never dared to build: a single ledger where every movement is named in plain language. Booking payments, refunds, rewards, deposits, withdrawals, tokens sent to a friend, tokens received from one. No codes to decipher, no statement archaeology. One list, every answer.
Your entire travel economy on one screen: balances, chains and history.
Paying for a trip: the life of a booking
Here is exactly what happens when you book, from the moment the price appears to the moment your arrival pass does.
Wallet running low? Tratok simply shows you a QR code to top up from any external wallet you own, on either chain, and holds your place while you do. The ecosystem never strands you at the checkout.
The review step: nothing is booked yet, and the locked price is already in writing.
Refunds: the maths is printed on the door
Every listing on Tratok displays its cancellation policy as readable tiers before you book: cancel this far out, receive this percentage back. No legal prose, no asterisk farm. And when life does change your plans, Tratok shows you the exact refund amount, calculated from your tier, before you confirm the cancellation. You decide with the number in front of you, never on faith.
Then the part that makes legacy platforms blush: the refund goes back into your Tratok wallet, with the instant portion credited immediately and the on-chain portion returned to the wallet that paid. It appears in your ledger, labelled as a refund, next to the booking it came from. No tunnel, no mystery, no cheque in the post.
A refund policy you can read, a refund amount you can see, and a refund that actually arrives. Revolutionary should not be the word for this, and yet here we are.
Sending TRAT to another traveller
Travel is rarely solo maths. Someone books the villa, someone owes for dinner, someone’s share of the taxi is still outstanding from Marrakech. Tratok settles all of it inside the ecosystem: you can send TRAT to any other Tratok user, instantly and completely free. Three fields, straight from your wallet: the recipient’s wallet address or a scanned QR code, the amount, with a Max button for the generous, and Send. Done. Within the Tratok family the transfer is instant and costs nothing, and when you send to an external address, the on-chain portion is broadcast to the blockchain, exactly as it should be.
Recipient, amount, send: settling the group trip in the time it takes to mention it.

Questions travellers ask
What if the TRAT price moves while I am paying?
It cannot touch you. Your quote is locked for five minutes at checkout, priced against live market depth. Whatever the market does during those minutes is the market’s business, not yours.
How quickly does a refund arrive?
The instant portion is credited to your Tratok wallet immediately, and the on-chain portion is returned to the wallet that paid. You see the exact figure before you confirm the cancellation, and the whole movement is recorded in your ledger.
Does it cost anything to send TRAT to a friend?
Between Tratok users, nothing at all, and it lands instantly. Sending to an external address broadcasts the on-chain portion to the blockchain, with the network handling it from there.
Can I pay if my Tratok wallet is empty?
Yes. The checkout presents a QR code you can pay from any external wallet on Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain, and Tratok holds your locked price while the tokens arrive.
