What Happens at the End of October: Tratok’s Road Ahead

The Road Ahead

What Happens at theEnd of October. The product is ready. Now we grow.

As October draws to a close, Tratok moves into a new phase. The building is done, the standard is set, and the focus turns to growth and liquidity. Here is where we stand, and exactly how we plan to move forward.

Where Tratok stands
Ready
A complete hospitality ecosystem, tested live with real guests and real venues.
Simple
Built so that anyone, in any language, anywhere, can use all of it.
Next
Growth, fiat on-ramps for companies, and a safer route to liquidity.

A new standard for the industry

We are satisfied with where the product is, and we are convinced it sets a new standard. Tratok is not simply a booking platform. It is an entire hospitality ecosystem, covering everything a traveller could need, from something as basic as paying anywhere in the world to a guide and companion that stays with you for the whole trip.

Pay anywhere
One TRAT wallet to book, pay at venues with a scan, tip and send TRAT to friends.
A companion, not a search box
Tara plans, books, translates, navigates and answers, wherever you are.
Every part of the trip
Stays, dining and experiences, with the tools for before, during and after.
Your people
Chat, calls and groups, so the people you travel with are part of it too.

Simple enough for everyone

We built Tratok so that technology is never the barrier. Whatever your age, your language or how comfortable you are with apps, everything is a tap or a sentence away. Ask Tara in your own words and she takes it from there.

Any user, in any language, anywhere in the world, with every feature they need. That was the goal, and we believe we have reached it.

Our next two challenges: growth and liquidity

Growth
Not a concern. We have a surplus of funds set aside for marketing, and with today’s level of user experience we expect word of mouth to drive strong organic growth alongside it.
Liquidity
Addressed in two ways: fiat on-ramps for corporate clients which will be fed into the blockchain, and a safer route through large Web3 wallets. Both are explained below.

1. On-ramps in traditional currencies

We are close to finalising the ability for corporate clients to pay in traditional global currencies. That opens Tratok to companies that will never hold crypto themselves, and it brings steady, real demand into the market as we grow.

2. Liquidity without the risk

This is where the past two months have taught the whole industry a hard lesson.

The elephant in the room

The state of cryptocurrency exchanges and marketplaces is still poor. Inequality, a lack of transparency and outright deception continue. Security flaws, weak compliance and rug pulls remain a constant concern. It is still very much the Wild West, dominated by short-term thinkers with no care for their users, and there will be more rude awakenings.

For individual users this is a nuisance. For a legitimate company it is a serious risk. Many of these exchanges are blocked or sanctioned in parts of the world, so client funds can be locked up at any moment. A business that has to leave large amounts of service providers’ trade receivables on such a platform, even briefly, faces huge liabilities and legal jeopardy if it freezes or disappears overnight.

We expect more of the same

What has been shaken out of the market so far is, we believe, only the tip of the iceberg. In Europe, North America and the Middle East especially, more providers will be forced to stop operating as missing compliance, missing licenses, poor corporate structures and exposed insolvency take their toll, adding more well-known names to the crypto graveyard.

Tratok’s way through

Fortunately, Tratok has a solution, thanks to its own technology. Because Tratok is interoperable across multiple blockchains, it can connect with the large Web3 wallets directly, without the significant costs that usually come with them. The numbers prove it works even on the smallest booking.

Worked example: a small booking
Booking$30.00
Tratok’s 1.5% commission$0.45
Average cost to turn utility tokens into fiatabout $0.008
Share of Tratok’s income on this bookingunder 1.8%
The conversion cost stays about the same whatever the booking size, so on larger bookings its share shrinks further still.

That is feasible, and it is sustainable. Full stop.

The logical path is to accept reality and work with solutions that are sound today, until Tratok’s daily booking and transaction volume is large enough to deal directly with the big regulated institutions that give users the deepest security and confidence. Until then, we will be working with large Web3 wallet providers such as Coinbase and Bitget, and injecting liquidity into Web3 wallets as we grow to a level where we cannot be ignored.

✓No reliance on, or exposure to, platforms that can take your money on a Monday and vanish before breakfast on Tuesday
✓A transparent marketplace where every stakeholder can do business
✓A liquid market for Tratok to grow and serve its users

The road ahead

The hard part, building something genuinely better, is behind us. What comes next is the exciting part: putting it in the hands of travellers, venues and companies around the world.

To our pilot testers: we have not forgotten you

Our free pilot tests are still very much on. The ecosystem has changed enormously since they were first announced, and we want every pilot trip to run on the very best of it.

When we are satisfied that the latest generation of the ecosystem is ready to carry the public on their travels, our pilot testers will be the first to enjoy it, and to benefit from it, completely free.

Tratok is ready. Now the world gets to use it.

The road ahead: quick answers

What changes for Tratok users at the end of October?

The product is complete and tested. The focus now moves to growth, fiat payments for corporate clients and a safer route to liquidity, so the experience you already have keeps getting better as more people join.

Why not simply use a crypto exchange for liquidity?

Because exchanges can and presently are being blocked, sanctioned, frozen or simply disappear. In addition it is apparent that many of them are not even operating legally. Working through large Web3 wallets avoids putting users’ or service providers’ money at that risk.

What happens to the free pilot tests?

They are still coming. Once the latest generation of the ecosystem is ready for the public to travel on, pilot testers will be the first to enjoy it, free of charge.

Is the conversion cost sustainable on small bookings?

Yes. On a $30 booking it is under 1.8% of Tratok’s income, and its share only shrinks as bookings get larger.
