Five Things That Look After Your Trip While You Are Not Thinking About It

A briefing the night before you travel, a jar to save into, a story written for you when you get home, a badge that proves our reserves, and a Tara you can talk to.

Most travel software is busy at exactly two moments: when you are booking, and when something has gone wrong. The rest of the time it sits there. This batch is about the rest of the time.

The night before, a briefing arrives

The evening before you travel, Tratok sends you one message. What you have booked, where you are going, and what the weather is doing when you land. Not a marketing email dressed as helpfulness: the actual details of tomorrow, the night before you need them.

A jar to put money in

A trip you have not booked yet is still a trip you are saving for. Trip jars are pots inside your wallet that you put TRAT into and take back out whenever you like. Set one up for Japan in spring, add to it when you feel flush, and watch it fill.

It is your money the entire time. Moving it in and out is two taps, and you can ask Tara to move it for you.

Saving for a trip is half the pleasure of taking it. Now there is somewhere to do it.

And when you get back, your trip writes itself up

After a stay completes, Tratok puts together the story of it: where you went, what you booked, the shape of the trip. It arrives without you asking, and it is the thing you will be glad of in eighteen months when you cannot remember the name of that hotel.

A badge that has to be earned every time you look at it

Open your wallet and you may see a reserves badge on it. It is not decoration. It appears only while the platform’s reserves exceed every deposit held, with a substantial buffer on top, and it is checked against the live figures rather than a claim somebody typed in.

If that ever stopped being true, the badge would simply stop appearing. That is the point of it.

Tara, out loud

There is now a microphone and a read-aloud toggle in the Tara conversation. Turn both on and you can hold an entire exchange without touching the screen, which is the only realistic way to use an assistant while you are actually travelling.
